Type of secure communication of SMEs with bookkeeping offices in Poland 2024
In 2024, 31 percent of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Poland sent encrypted emails with password-protected attachments about their employees to accounting and bookkeeping offices. However, 22 percent of entrepreneurs opted for secure emails to business partners without safeguarding the attachments with passwords. Additionally, 16 percent of companies used shared cloud services with their business partners. Protecting attachments with passwords was crucial to prevent unauthorized access and ensure sensitive information remained secure during transmission. Encrypted e-mail communication was ineffective if attachments containing personal data were not additionally secured with a password.
