According to a forecast, the number of professional e-sports teams in India was predicted to grow to 35 by 2024. The recognition of e-sports as a sporting event by the Indian government in 2022 and the increased impetus of e-sports tournaments in India and abroad have resulted in a promising future for the Indian e-sports segment. E-sports revenue in India amounted to over 100 million U.S. dollars in 2023.
