A global survey conducted in 2023 showed that countries like Russia and Norway had a large share of the population that supported new constructions of nuclear reactors with subsidies: 49 and 35 percent, respectively. In comparison, the share of respondents in countries like South Korea and China showed a significant amount of opposing attitudes towards the expansion of nuclear reactor constructions, with 32 and 30 percent respectively.
