In 2022, approximately 30 percent of women with Medicaid coverage mentioned that their plan did not cover a prescription medication, or charged high-cost sharing for it. This was lower compared to 35 percent of women insured with individual health insurance who had the same experience. Women with individual health insurance were more likely to experience challenges with their insurance than those with Medicaid and employer-sponsored insurance.
