In 2023, semiconductor foundries in China accounted for 31 percent of the global capacity. By 2027, the capacity share was expected to decrease to 39 percent, with the investment in the domestic industries resulting in a higher global competitiveness. In the semiconductor value chain, foundries are responsible for the manufacturing of integrated circuits.
