A 2024 study revealed that over half of sports video-on-demand subscribers in the U.S. believed that pirate streaming services are the best way to access all the content they want. Additionally, nearly three-quarters of U.S. consumers felt there are too many subscription services, and 60 percent wished they could opt out of automatic renewals.
