According to an August 2024 survey, 86 percent of Democrats in the United States supported Kamala Harris's policy proposal to restore abortion rights nationally to how they were under Roe v. Wade. In comparison, about 29 percent of Republicans supported the proposal. Harris's proposal of capping out-of-pocket annual expenses for prescription drugs at 2,000 U.S. dollars was more popular across party lines, garnering support from almost two-thirds of surveyed Republicans. Both Kamala Harris and Donald Trump have proposed ending taxes on tips. However, Trump has proposed the complete elimination of taxes on tips, while Harris has suggested ending taxed tips for specific industries and capping the amount of tipped income that can be exempted.
