In 2022, the Israel Innovation Authority (IIA) allocated 236 million Israeli shekels (about 64 million U.S. dollars) to life science technology start-ups in Israel. This amounted to more than double the amount allocated to the companies developing applications for industry and business. In an effort to bolster local high-tech development, the IIA provided 656 million Israeli shekels (about 177 million U.S. dollars) in grants to tech start-ups that year.
