The ‘talent’ score centers on the availability of a workforce trained AI-relevant fields.

The ‘infrastructure’ score evaluates the extent and stability of essential infrastructure, ranging from electricity and internet connectivity to access to advanced technologies.

The ‘operating environment’ score focuses on the national regulatory system and societal perceptions of AI.

The ‘research’ score assesses the level of specialist research and researchers, including scientific publications and citations in leading journals.

The ‘development’ score centers on the development of fundamental platforms and algorithms on which AI projects are based.

The ‘government strategy’ evaluates the level of government commitment to AI based on metrics such as monetary investment and national strategies.

The ‘commercial’ score focuses on the extent of AI start-up vibrancy, capital investments and commercial initiatives.
