Get in touch with us nowThe International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD), part of the World Bank system, committed billions of dollars to various sectors between financial years 2019 and 2023. Overall, IBRD commitments increased from over 23 billion U.S. dollars in 2019 to over 38 billion U.S. dollars in 2023. Within each sector, spending has increased for most but decreased for others. The agriculture, fishing and forestry, public administration, energy and extractives, and social protection sectors all experienced funding increases during this time period. Others, such as transportation, education, and health, experienced slight increases before decreasing again by 2023.
