Monthly QR code payment value in Japan 2022-2024

In September 2024, QR code and barcode payments worth around 1.51 trillion Japanese yen were made in Japan. A large share of payments were made in-store. The highest amount of QR code payments was recorded in May 2024, at 1.61 trillion yen.
