In 2024, the number of high-class consumers in China amounted to over 117.3 million, around 8.2 percent of the country's consumers. That year, Macao had the highest share of high-class consumers compared to its population across the Asia-Pacific region, with close to 85 percent of the country's population earning the equivalent of the top ten percent of global earners.
