In a global survey conducted in 2024, 79 percent of respondents in Saudi Arabia said they were buying more local brands than a year ago. At the same time, 72 percent of Saudi and 57 percent of Emirati respondents said they were boycotting certain Western brands due to the ongoing war in Gaza.
