Largest battery storage projects in California and Texas, United States 2024-2025

Several battery energy storage projects with capacities exceeding 400 megawatts are expected to start operations in the United States' states of California and Texas in 2024 and 2025. Lunis Creek battery project was the largest among them, with over 600 megawatts to be deployed in Texas over the next two years. 

California and Texas are the U.S. states with the largest battery storage capacity installed.
