As of June 2024, the United Kingdom had a total of seven offshore wind energy projects under construction. France and Germany followed with six and four projects, respectively. The United Kingdom is the leading offshore wind market in Europe. As of end of 2023, offshore wind capacity in the UK surpassed 17.4 gigawatts.
