When comparing backers by gender, significant variations emerge when analyzed by model and region. Notably, women dominate the backers of non-investment models, making up 52 percent to 60 percent across regions. However, they are a minority among investors in investment models. In 2022, women constituted only 18 percent to 27 percent of equity investors and just 7 percent to 27 percent of lending investors.
