An August 2024 survey conducted in Britain found that 70 percent of respondents still referred to X (formerly Twitter) as 'Twitter'. Overall, four percent of respondents referred to the platform as 'X'. Users of X were slightly more likely to call the platform by its rebranded name than the general population. In July 2023, CEO Elon Musk officially changed Twitter’s name.
