In a survey conducted among grocery shoppers in New Zealand in May 2024, value for money came out on top as the leading factor influencing supermarket choices, with over 30 percent of respondents taking this into account when deciding where to shop. The layout and presentation of a grocery store was also highly valued among those surveyed.
