During a 2024 survey, five percent of responding programmatic experts said sustainability and the carbon impact of advertising was a leading concern. Roughly two thirds said that they had not adopted a framework, set of methodologies or models to measure the carbon emissions of their digital advertising and one in six that reducing emissions generated by programmatic advertising was not a strategic focus for their organization.
