As of 2023, the region of the world with the highest share of water bodies with good water quality was Oceania, reporting 97.3 of their water resources in good state. Such figures do not include Australia and New Zealand, though. Nonetheless, those two countries also have relatively high water quality, with 80.6 percent of their water bodies reporting good quality.
