U.S. share of adults who support a minimum wage increase 2024, by amount

In an online survey conducted in April 2024, around 63 percent of respondents in the United States said that they strongly favored an increase in the federal minimum wage to nine U.S. dollars per hour. In comparison, only 41percent of survey participants said that they strongly supported a minimum wage increase to 17 U.S. dollars per hour. The federal minimum wage is currently $7.25 per hour.
