In Portugal, during the academic year 2022/2023, the number of higher education graduates was the highest in universities belonging to the public sector, with almost 50,000 graduates. Private higher education institutions had almost 19,000 graduates during the same period, just 6,100 of whom graduating from polytechnic institutes.
