In the first half of 2024, the largest streaming providers released 357 original TV show seasons in the U.S., with Netflix by far holding the highest share. However, the majority of platforms declined their productions compared to the same period of the previous year in order to cut costs. Disney+ reported the highest drop at over 50 percent.
