A survey conducted quarterly in North America between 2022 and 2024 shows the share of shoppers who buy luxury brands and services using social media. When comparing the first quarter of 2022 to the second quarter of 2024, the purchases had a significant decrease, dropping from about 30 percent to roughly 21 percent. A peak in the usage of social media for this purpose happened in the second quarter of 2022, surpassing 30 percent, and it stayed below this figure for the rest of the analyzed quarters.
