The source considers individuals middle class and above, when they earn at least the equivalent of the leading 40 percent of global earners in constant purchasing power parity terms as of 2022. High-class consumers are the ones earning at least the equivalent of the leading 10 percent of global earners in constant PPP terms in 2022.
