A survey conducted quarterly in North America among different group ages between 2022 and 2024 shows that the group aged 18 to 39 has consistently acquired more luxury products and services over social media throughout the analyzed years when compared to those over 40. In the first quarter of 2022, the former group used social media almost twice as much compared to the latter, at around 43 and 23 percent, respectively. Moreover, in the third quarter of 2023, nearly half of the respondents in the 18 to 39-year-old group purchased premium goods via social media. The group aged over 40 purchased the least amount of high-end items via social sites in the second quarter of 2024, at approximately 18 percent.
