Original survey question: What was the total distance travelled in kilometers for the following types of journey on that day [for each day of the week]?
Participants were split evenly between the survey period in June and October.
Participants, who had cycled in the previous seven days were asked about their trips. The data, therefore, represents two typical weeks in June and October.
The source notes that distances cycled are self-reported and likely overestimate the distance. The data is therefore most valuable as a comparison between weekdays.
