The share of the population that cycles in France is highest in households with an income between 7,000 and 8,000 euros per month. Nearly half of respondents in this income bracket indicate that they are regular cyclists, while over a third say they are occasional cyclists. Meanwhile, less than half of people in the income bracket of 500 to 1,000 euros cycle, the lowest share among all income groups.

Regular cyclists include people who cycle at least once per week or more often. Occasional cyclists include people who cycle several times per month or less. Non-cyclists include people who never cycle.
Original survey question: How often do you use your bicycle (electric or not) in a personal or professional capacity?
Participants were split evenly between the survey period in June and October.
Participants who had cycled in the previous seven days were asked about their trips. The data, therefore, represents two typical weeks in June and October.
