A survey conducted in North America shows which devices online shoppers most often used to buy luxury brands or services from the first quarter of 2022 to the second quarter of 2024. The use of desktop devices was the most common method of making luxury purchases in the years analyzed, which peaked in the third quarter of 2022 at around 85 percent. The last quarter of 2022 saw the highest usage rate for mobile devices, at approximately 57 percent. However, only 49 percent of consumers completed their luxury shopping on mobile phones in the second quarter of 2024. Tablets seem to be the least used form for consumers to make purchases, ranging from 16 to 30 percent throughout the surveyed years.
