As of the fourth quarter of 2023, almost 50 percent of workers in the technology sector in Israel held roles in research and development. This was followed by business and administration positions, which accounted for 30 percent of employees in the sector. In general, the high-tech industry employed almost 400,000 people on average during 2023.
