Most viewed political party ads around elections in India 2024

In an online survey conducted in May 2024, approximately 81 percent of respondents in urban India reported seeing ads by the Bharatiya Janata Party most frequently around the elections. In comparison, less than half the respondents reported seeing Indian National Congress ads. About three-quarters of Indians reported that they had seen some form of political advertisement during the 18th general elections. YouTube was cited as the most common platform to come across political ads, while Instagram was particularly popular among Gen Z.
