According to a survey conducted in January 2024, investors are planning to increase their exposure to data centers in the next five years. In 2024, the largest share of respondents had less than five percent of their assets under management allocated to data center real estate. Nevertheless, this is projected to change significantly in the next five years. For example, 11 percent of investors had portfolios consisting of six to 10 percent data centers. By 2029, 27 percent of investors expected to have such exposure.
