In answering about their awareness of various vehicle-to-grid functionalities offered, 42 percent of respondents expressed a good level of familiarity with these technologies. Close to a quarter of BEV drivers had heard of them but did not know a lot about them.
Self-reported Swedish drivers' awareness of Vehicle-to-grid functionalities as of October 2023
Vehicle-to-grid (V2G) is a technology that allows electric vehicles (EVs) to interact with the power grid by using their batteries as temporary storage, supplying energy back to the grid when parked. Swedish battery-electric vehicle (BEV) drivers were surveyed about their awareness of this technology.
