Sweden: EV sales by propulsion type and county 2023

Around 74,200 electric passenger cars were sold in Stockholm county in 2023, making it the largest market in Sweden for these vehicles. While there were more plug-in hybrid electric vehicles in circulation in the capital city that year, battery-electric vehicles were the most popular based on sales volume. In 2023, some 20,900 more BEVs than PHEVs were sold in Stockholm.
