Oil and gas drilling licenses awarded in Norway 1970-2024

Norway has awarded a record number of licenses to oil and gas drilling producers since the 2020s. In 2021, more than 90 licenses were awarded. In 2023, this figure amounted to 83 licenses, the second highest number in the period of consideration.
