A U.S. study carried out in 2024 asked shoppers if they ever discovered or purchased a new product they wouldn't have known otherwise thanks to product recommendations. This happened a few times to 57 percent of shoppers aged 18 to 24 years old. Another 59 percent of shoppers between 35 and 39 years old said they had been influenced by product recommendations.
