Views on the economic influence of the U.S. among respondents ASEAN 2024
In a survey conducted among Southeast Asians in 2024, 52 percent of the respondents from ASEAN countries welcomed the United States' growing economic influence in the region. This marked a decrease from close to 66 percent in the previous year. In contrast, the share of respondents worried about the United States' growing economic influence across Southeast Asia increased compared to 2023.
