ASEAN: views on ASEAN's economic influence by country 2024

In a survey conducted in ten Southeast Asian countries in 2024, the majority of respondents from several countries in ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) in 2024 were welcoming the growing economic influence of the ASEAN in the region. This answer was particularly popular in Brunei, as it was chosen by 85.7 percent of the country's survey participants. However, especially worried about the growing economic influence of ASEAN in the region were the respondents from Laos.

Respondents included those who previously answered "ASEAN" in response to a question about which country or regional organization is currently the most influential economic power in Southeast Asia.

ASEAN stands for Association of Southeast Asian Nations and is a political and economic union composed of the ten member states Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
