ASEAN: leading impacts of the Russia-Ukraine war by country 2024

In a survey conducted in ten Southeast Asian countries in 2024, the biggest impact respondents felt from the Russia-Ukraine war on ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) in 2024 was the increase in energy and food prices, causing economic hardship. This answer was particularly popular in Laos, as it was chosen by 86.3 percent of the country's survey participants. Another common impact on many countries was the erosion of trust in a rules-based order and violation of national sovereignty due to the war.
