Maruti Suzuki India Ltd., a subsidiary of Suzuki spent over 7.6 billion Indian rupees in the financial year 2023 on research and development (R and D) in India. Whereas Germany-based Bosch Ltd. spent around 4.2 billion Indian rupees on R and D. In both cases, the amount spent in India was significantly lower than the amount spent in the native or base countries of these MNCs.
