Mobile games are popular among U.S. adults due to different reasons. According to a survey conducted in April 2024, more than half of U.S. adults play mobile games to prevent boredom, while socializing with others motivates only 14 percent to play mobile games.
The majority of Gen Z and Millennials play mobile games to get rid of stress or avoid unpleasant tasks, while most Gen X and Baby Boomers turn to games when they are bored.
