In 2023, 45 percent of LGBT adults surveyed in the United States who were aged between 18 and 29 years reported having felt depressed either always or often in the past 12 months. Meanwhile, a quarter of LGBT adults between the ages of 30 and 49, and 19 percent of those aged 50 and above reported feeling depressed throughout the past year.
