Following the outbreak of the Israel-Hamas war on October 7, 2023, average internet traffic in the Southern city of Kiryat Gat increased by 34 percent. Since the start of the war, internet usage grew in most Israeli cities. In contrast, average data usage decreased sharply in the border towns of Sderot, Kiryat Shmona and Metula. This was due to the evacuation of Israeli civilian from these cities.
