As of April 2024, Bengaluru had the largest share of artificial intelligence (AI) funding in India by far, at more than 38 percent. It was followed distantly by Mumbai, at close to 16 percent. The funding in India for AI startups peaked in 2022, at around 5.2 billion U.S. dollars.
