Disney Star increased its revenue from sports broadcasting in the first half of the financial year 2024 ended in March 2024 to over 500 million U.S. dollars. Most of the revenue was earned on the back of the 50-over ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023. This marked a 40 percent increase from the same period in the previous fiscal year. Disney Star is one of India's leading television broadcasters owned by The Walt Disney Company, that owns over 10 Star Sports-branded HD and SD channels.
