Global clean energy investment shares 2023, by country & region

The world invested almost two trillion U.S. dollars in clean energy technologies in 2023. China accounted for roughly one-third of this value, with the European Union and United States following. Combined, these three markets accounted for almost 70 percent of global clean energy investment in 2023.
