In July 2024, the canton of Zurich had the highest number of registered jobseekers in Switzerland, with around 29,500 people looking for jobs. This was a 19 percent increase compared to the same month in the previous year. The canton of Appenzell Innerrhoden had the smallest number of jobseekers, with only 87 registered people.

Registered non-unemployed jobseekers are people who, unlike the unemployed, are either not immediately employable or have a job.
