In 2023, across some of the leading grape varietals crushed for wine production in the Marlborough wine-growing region in New Zealand, Pinot Noir witnessed the largest annual change in grape crush volume, with a decrease of 17 percent. Riesling was the only wine grape type to witness an increase in crush volume from 2022 across the leading grape varieties.
