Number of jobseekers in Switzerland from 2013 to 2023

In 2023, an average of around 160,100 people in Switzerland were registered jobseekers. This was a decrease compared to the previous year. The number of jobseekers has generally declined since 2016, with the exceptions of 2020 and 2021 when many people lost their jobs due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
