Unemployment rate in Switzerland 2023, by gender

The State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) calculates the unemployment rate based on the unemployed registered with the regional employment centers in relation to the labor force according to structural survey data (SE) on working life (3-year pooling 2018 to 2020). Registered unemployed people are those who are registered with a regional employment center, do not have a job and can be placed immediately. It is irrelevant whether these people receive unemployment benefits or not.
